Hi. I was wondering, How can you tell if a cat is going into heat. I got a kitten and she is 5 months old and she is acting "strange". The way she lays down with her rear in the air and purrs like crazy. Is it possible that she is in heat? Thaks

HI Charles,
Yes, she is definetly in heat.   They will act strange like that... roll around..cry, put their rear up and stomp their back feet.... it's really kinda funny , I think.

Have her spayed, it will be well worth the money.
