Dear Becky,

   My question has more to do with cat urine more than the cat.  I have been told that you can not cover up a cats sent (Urine) But that you have to chemicly change it. I've also heard that there is a simple formula to spay on areas where there is a problem and it will almost instantly remove the smell.  Of course every one knows it exists but know one knows what it is.  Do you know of any such thing.

Hi Monica,

I really don't know of any such product.  I have had good luck with vinegar and water.  I have used it to clean with and have even put it in a shampooer when cleaning carpet. Vinegar is a natural deodorizer.   
If you have a bad problem with carpet,  you may need to pull it up and replace the pad underneath. If the pad gets soaked with urine, cleaning the carpet will not help.  Sometimes its just a small place that needs replacing.
I know this isn't much help, but perhaps you can try it.
