Cats/Cats bathing each other....

Question
We have two adult cats, who seem to bath each other from time to time....Any idea what, if anything, this means?

Answer
hello Scott,
Thank you for your inquiry.  Animals who live together will sometimes groom each other from time to time.  We see this type behaviour in many animals (apes, birds, cats and even dogs, to mention a few).  It is considered affectionate behaviour. I, too, have two cats that do this often, even tho they have their apparent disagreements and fuss with each other every now and then.  But they are very affectionate when it comes to grooming each other (one especially likes his ears cleaned!)  So it would appear that your cats are happy in each others company!
Hope this has been helpful.
Thank you
