Question
Hello,
I just purchased a new collar for my cat and I am curious as to the proper fit.  Presently, I can fit two fingers, side-by-side, under the collar.  I just want to make sure that I have a proper fit without the collar being too tight or too loose.  My cat is a 12lb model with LOTS of hair.  He has been an indoor cat ever since I adopted him.  Thank you

Answer
Hi Chris,
The fit you describe is a comfortable fit.  Most  cat collars are made to be 'quick release' so that they pull apart fairly easily.  Just keep an eye on the coat around the collar to be sure that it does'nt cause matting.  Remove the collar every now and again, and brush or comb around the neck area.
Hope this has been helpful.
Thank you for your inquiry,
