I have two Cornish Rex cats.  One male who is a Grand Champion and a Grand Premier and a female that is a little older and the boss.  

My question is; When the male cat is in a room by himself he sometimes makes a sound that is best described as hollowing, like he is lost or doesn't know where we are.  We call him and when he is in the room with us he is fine.  This happens often, but mostly in the mornings.  The odd thing is our house is open so he can hear us talking from most any place in the house.

Any idea what is causing this?  The female never does anything like that.

Hi Johnnie,

My female rex does the exact same thing!  It's like she is lost or something.  When I call her name and say "here I am" she calms down.  I really have no idea why they do it, but it makes me think it is their way of saying "hey! I need some attention!".   lol    Sometimes she will do it when she wants to drink water from the faucet, but normally I don't see any specific reason.   I wish I knew too!!  

Congrats on your wins.  I had a 2-show grand Premier Cornish Rex, but I had to find a home for him as he kept atttacking my other cats.  A friend of mine has him now, and he is doing wonderful.  I don't show anymore, and I miss it.
