Question
I have a male cat that my 12 yr daughter brought home that a freind gave her. He is less then a yr old or about a yr old. He has been Neutered and has had his first shots. He does like to be picked on occasion he will let u "love" him. Last night my daughter was on the computer and he scratched her in her eye out of nowhere. She was not messing with him or anything, and he will also just walk up and bite or attack her. He does it to myself and my boyfriend as well but mostly to my daughter. I am concerned about this and do not want to have to get rid of the cat but i cannot have him attacking ppl in my home. I called a vet but they told me to have the vet look at him. I do know he was taken away from his mother too soon and when did get him he had already been passed from about three other homes. The cat is very loved and well cared for here. He is an inside cat cause when he does go on the porch or near the front door he trys to run off. Any help or advice i can get get is appriated and again, i do not want to have to get rid of the cat but cannot have him biting and scratching anyone. Alos, he is not doing this in a "playful" manner he is very "serious" in manner when he does the attacking. Thank you very much i hope to hear from you soon. Brandy

Answer
Hi Brandy,

If the vet doesn't find anything wrong with him I'll try to help you out. Make sure there is no reason for his attacking. If you can try to remember what he did right before the attack. Was he looking out a window? Was there a loud noise? Did someone just pick him up before?

What was his behavior before hand? Was he crouching with his tail twitching? Was his ears back? I need to know the answers to these questions. Write back and let me know and I should be able to help you. Good luck.
