my cat is jumping on my desk tables and other furniture that i do not wish her to as well as chewing through wires and she is driving my fiance crazy is there a way to stop this behaviour? that you in advance for any help you can give.

Hello Raven,
You might try a spray bottle of water or a can of air to discourage
undesireable behaviour.  In your absence, however, it may become
necessary
to confine the kitty to a specific room with food, water and litter box,
like the bathroom or laundry room where mischief can be limited.
