Expert: Tomay - 3/2/2005

Question
Last week my 3 year old cat was diagnosed with crystals in his urine. He was perscribed an antibiotic and he has one pill left. We lost 2 of his pills while trying to get him to take them. He seems to be in worse pain right now. He is constantly crying and making noises and cleanin himself "down there". He hasnt used the littler box all day (that I know of). I cant take him to a vet, it is 2 am here. I am so worried about him and I dont know what to do. Is there anything I can do to ease his pain? I cant sleep, I feel so awful. He was perscribed "Feline S/D" also. He will eat, but I dont see him drinking his water and when I try to get him to, he wont. Please help. What can I do until I get him to the vet tomorrow? And why does this seem to be getting worse? I feel awful and am worried sick. Thank you!!

I recieved your email this morning, so I am sure you are already at the vet.  Your kitty's problem is obviously serious.  I am sorry I could offer no help, as this is a vet issue.  Hopefully by now he is resting comfortably at the vet.
