Question
I have a kitten that's like 4 weeks old, and has been quite ill lately.
I took him to the vet and he told me he had a cold, gave him a shot and told me to keep him warm, and he was doing just fina after like 3 days he even started eating and walking more, but now all of a sudden he's been acting strange, if i pick him up he starts crying, and if i leave him in his bed he'll just lay down and not move for a long time : \ it looks like he's asleep but he has his eyes open, and if i put him somewhere so he walks he tips over and cries more, he will barely eat also, i really dont know whats wrong or what to do, i'm taking him to the vet again of course but i would very much appreciate it if you could help me out also, because it'll be a bit before i can take him to the vet, also considering he just started behaving like that and its really late.
Well thank you so much, i hope you can help me.

Answer
Hi Anah,

You need to get him to the vet right away. Any major change in behavior like that isn't good. And a cat gets a lot of their fluids through their foods. He could be dehydrated which is very serious. After you get him home again feed him kitty glop. I am attaching a recipe for this at the bottom. This stuff is fantastic for sick cats. This will help him. But get him to the vet first!!!Good luck.

Ciao, Karen

KITTY GLOP

INGREDIENTS:
1 can evaporated milk (sweetened condensed)
2 tbsp. plain yogurt (not low or non fat)
2 tbsp. mayonnaise (real not light or No-Fat)
1 tbs. Karo Syrup (light)
1 pkg. Knox gelatin
1 egg yolk (beaten, )
1 cup Pedialyte (unflavored)
1 jar Stage One Baby food (chicken or turkey)

INSTRUCTIONS:
Mix milk, yogurt, mayonnaise, baby food, and syrup together well. Bring 1 cup pedialyte to boil and mix in Knox gelatin. Set aside. Mix egg yolk with small amount of milk mixture and beat well.

Add gelatin and pedialyte to milk mixture and beat well. Add in egg yolk mixture and beat well. Remember to not use egg substitute and keep egg white to a minimum.

Pour into bowl (with cover) and set in refrigerator. Glop will last for two weeks covered in refrigerator. Try freezing the mixture in ice cube trays and store the cubes in the freezer, thaw as many as needed.
Always warm glop to room temperature ,(milk form), or a little warmer, before feeding.
