my kitty is 8 and is on a 2 times a day injection with PZI for diabetes, she is just overweight enough where she cant lick her bottom so from time to time I clean her up in that area, sometimes I see a tan paste from her anal glands and I used to take her to the VET worried it was an infection.  I know just get a warm cloth and express them myself.  I wonder how often I should do this, I hate to wait until its over flowing!

You can express her anal glands as often as necessary, probably abot once a week.

My main concern is her obesity, it is essential for her to safely lose weight by using a high quality high protein diet.
