Question
My cat keeps losing her coller and this time she has gone to far because I have been looking for it all morning. How can I help prevent this from happening?

Answer
Hello Amanda,
Some cats just aren't as receptive to wearing a collar as others are.  If you feel she must have a collar, collars designed especially for cats will have a quick release or and elastic space that allows easy escape if the cat is in danger of strangling.  These types of collars can be cinched tighter than regular collars.  Try tightening the collar a bit and see if that helps.  I have a domestic short hair house cat that used to lose collars regularly, till finally I just decided it was best just to let him be collarless.  He doesn't seem to miss it.  The only other option I can think of is a harness for a cat, but most cats are not very receptive of these unless they have always had one and have become accustomed to them.
Hoping this will be helpful.
