Question
Have a male cat, about 4 years old, neutered, gets shots and sees vet regularly, spends good bit of time outdoors, is in every way normal and in good health but has a peculiar quirk. Whenever anyone takes a shower, goes into the shower stall or tub afterwards and just stands there for extended time, not playing, exploring, moving, drinking, etc., but just standing without moving almost as though in a daze. A weird habit. Does it mean or signify anything? Thank you.

Answer
Hello,
I have one of my two cats that jump in the shower afterwards, but is more interested in drinking the water everywhere.
But it would appear that your cat has discovered a kitty state of Zen!  It could be that he likes the steam and humidity generated in the air after the shower has run.  Perhaps it serves as a 'humidifier' for him, especially if he is persian or the like, with a more recessed nasal cavity.
Hope this is helpful.
Thank you
