Question
Hello Becky,
First of all thankyou so much for adressing my question. I have a Male cat who generally is a 'live and let live' sort of a cat. for no reason at all, a neighbour of mine threw a stone at him. since that day, my cat hisses and growls when he happens to hear her voice. recently he has started growling at people who come visit our place. this had never happened before. can you suggest something that will solve this problem?
Regards,
Kavita.(India)

Answer
Hi Kavita,

It sounds to me like your cat has been traumatized by your neighbor.  It could be that your neighbor continues to do things to your cat without your knowlege.  This would be the reason he has become so agressive.   If it were me, I would talk to the neighbor and ask her not to do anything to your cat!  If you can keep him inside, it would help.
You can't hardly blame him for being upset when someone is throwing things at him and there is no telling what else has been done.

God Bless,
Becky

Expertise

I am not a breeder,so please direct any breeding and/or birthing questions to an "expert" that is. I love all cats but my favorites are the Rex and Siamese. I used to show Cornish Rex as a hobby but have not been able to for a few years. Right now I have three Siamese and one Cornish Rex. As a former veterinarian assistant, I can help you with general healthcare issues. Being a cat owner for years, I will be glad to answer any behaviour and/or nutrition questions too. Please remember, I am NOT a Veterinarian, so if your kitty is seriously ill, please do not hesitate to contact a Vet.
