Question
My cat has just developed alot of dry sore area on his back, If I take a small tooth comb I am able to comb a lot of it out. I use flea treatment and also use a flea collar which I change regularly. He seems to be licking  at these areas. Today I came home and he now has some open sores on his head and behind his ears. which the hair is out. My cat is kept in the house most of the time. I have 3 small baby kittens which do not have this.

Answer
Sorry to hear of this problem with your kitty.  However, I don't think this is within my field of expertise.  This sound more like a matter for a vet to  answer, as I suspect this is a medical problem more than just a matter of simple coat and skin care.  Perhaps there is a connection with the flea control you are using.  Flea treatment in addition to very toxic flea collars may be a chemical overload in your cats system. That's just a guess.  I do think that this is a problem that needs to be addressed very promptly, but I feel like a vet, here at allexperts.com, could answer your question better than I can.  Thank you for your intrest.
