Question
can a cat be jealous of a female member of the family.  our family female cat loves my husband better than me. i can live with that  lol. for some reason when we are in bed at night she will come in and urinate on my side of the bed. she is housed trained. will let us know when she has to go our side, except at night. refuses to use a litter box.

Answer
Hi Carolyn!
Yes, pets often have their favorites and will choose some family members over others.  Peeing on your side of the bed is rather extreme, though, but I have heard of it before!  If I were you, I would put an old shower curtain over your side when you aren't in bed, just to save your mattress.  Until then, I would keep the bedroom door shut so she can't get in there.  I'm not sure how to break her since she goes outside, but as I said, I wouldn't let her in there unless supervised.  Good luck!

Expertise

I am not a breeder,so please direct any breeding and/or birthing questions to an "expert" that is. I love all cats but my favorites are the Rex and Siamese. I used to show Cornish Rex as a hobby but have not been able to for a few years. Right now I have three Siamese and one Cornish Rex. As a former veterinarian assistant, I can help you with general healthcare issues. Being a cat owner for years, I will be glad to answer any behaviour and/or nutrition questions too. Please remember, I am NOT a Veterinarian, so if your kitty is seriously ill, please do not hesitate to contact a Vet.
