Cats/cat vomiting

Question
My 8( /-)year old spayed female sometimes regurgitates her food (not everyday) sometimes directly after she eats, sometimes when the food is partially digested. I have tried various foods  and nothing seems to change her reactions. She has always maintained a healthy weight and she plays and in general acts very normal. She is a nervous girl, she gets scared of everything and I have always just thought that had something to do with it. She never seems to lose the occasional snack that I feed them just her regular food.
Do you have any thoughts on this?

Answer
Hi Nancy,

I have one who is just like that. When she is scared she will vomit. She gets attacked by the other cats in the household here. They don't like her for some reason. She now has her own room and is calm now. I also changed her diet. She gets a high quality, low grain diet now. Both these things seemed to help.

If yours is that afraid I would try a product called Feliway. Get the whole house atomizer. It acts as kitty tranquilizer. See how she does with this stuff. It may relax her enough so she won't be vomiting any more. If that doesn't work, write back and I'll give you the name of a very mild antihistamine that acts like a kitty Prozac. You can try that. Good luck.
