what grooming tools do you suggest on a shorthair

Hello Debra,
Shorthaired cats can greatly benefit from regular grooming with a 'curry' brush.  There are a couple different models, but the one I find the most helpful is the oval one with a hand strap.  Starting at the top of the neck, brush in short firm strokes toward the tail.  You will find this creates a little pile of hair by the time you reach the tail area.  Keep brushing in this manner and you will find you can get rid of alot of dead and loose hair.  And a bonus is that 98% of cats LOVE a curry brushing!  Even cats that normally don't like it, will like it!  Good luck and hope this has been helpful.
