Cats/When cats breast harden

Question
After a 2 months when my cat gave birth, all of them disappeared for some reason, and when we couldn't find them, the mother's breast I think sort of hardened, what should I do?

Answer
HI Hilde,

What you should do is get your cat spayed right away before she has more kittens. Here is a resource with information and help finding low cost spay and neuter clinics

Sadly, a predator probably ate the missing kittens, and at 2 months it is normal for the mother's milk to dry up, kittens are weaned at 8 weeks. Baby kittens should never be allowed outdoors, they are very easy targets for wild animals to eat.
