Question
hi i have 2 male birmans ( two & a half )& am getting a female cornish kitten. do you have any advice. i chose the rex b/c my boys don't like to sit on laps but prefer sitting on rug in front of us. they play alot . will their behavoir alter the rex's desire for sitting on laps or will she still be happy to sit on me while they do not.
any advice is welcome . thanks

Hi Maria,

Wow you have some nice cats, and adding a Cornish Rex will really be wonderful!   I think, as a kitten, your rex will want to play with the older cats, so don't expect her to be real content to sit on your lap for long periods.  However, as she matures and gets out of the "racally" stage, she will probably want to be with you.  My female Cornish Rex loves to be with me and she always sleeps with me.  I just recently acquired a little Siamese boy and all he wants to do is play right now.  I think most kittens will react that way.  I think if you hold her alot, as she matures she will be a lap cat for sure.
