Cats/dirty cat

Question
Hi. I have two cats aged about 4 and 5. The older one is neat
and clean and washes a lot. The other one, Luna, always looks
dingy and disheveled. I never see her bathe. She is a great cat,
very happy, playful and affectionate but she doesn't seem to
have an interest in cleaning herself. What gives and is there
anything I can do?
thanks
Jaimie

Answer
hello Jaime,
Luna sounds like she could probably benefit from a good bath and brush with a groomer, or  check with your local pet store and purchase some dry bath for cats.  It comes in a mousse form or in towellettes, and is quite effective for cleaning up the coat of dirty kitties!  Also look into getting  a 'curry brush' for your kitties, to help with controlling shedding coat.  It is a rubber oval shaped 'brush' with a strap for the hand.  It is useful for brushing and can also be used to bathe your cat with. Use some cotton balls soaked with some good earcleaner or just al little vinegar and water and wipe out her ears as well.  Hopefully this will be helpful.
thank you
