Question
hello,
help my vet. he is ignorant about feline asthma and does not believe that cats get it. most of the vets ( about 15 i have talked with so far)are denying its existance. tell me, does feline asthma really exist? my cat is coughing on and off and all the web researh is pointing me towards this disease which vets in my country do not even know about.

Answer
Feline asthma does exist, but to many vets it is probably known as chronic bronchitis.  You can actually get a cat inhaler to help the cat breathe.  I would recommend going to the vets and mentioning chronic bronchitis instead of asthma.  The will be more willing to listen.
