Cats - excessive drooling

Expert: B. Iris Tanner - 10/28/2006

Question
I have a 5 month old kitten(Sasha) who started drooling slightly yesterday.  Today she is drooling so much that she has soaked her neck chest and front legs and paws.  She usually has a good appetite but she has stopped eatting and drinking.  She won't even play with the other kitten(Boots) who was from the same litter so they are the same age and the other kitten(Boots) doesn't seem to be showing any symptoms of being sick.  I'm clueless as to what could be wrong with Sasha...  Any ideas?

Answer
Many apologies for my lateness of response. I was out of town for the weekend and got sick when I came home.

I sincerely hope that you have taken Sasha to the vet and that she is doing better. Even if I HAD been able to respond, there is nothing other than that that I could have suggested. I just hope that your other kitten is all right. Please write back and let me know, I will be checking regularly today.
