Cats/lost cat

Question
My neutered male cat has been missing since Sat. night 11/3. Not quite 2 days yet. He usually gets out at night and comes home by morning. I have walked the neighborhood calling for him and am currently hanging up fliers. Is this unusual for neutered cats?  He is 11 months old and has generally been an inside cat only up until about a month ago. He proved many times that he would come home so we just became more confident in his return. What could he be doing?  Isn't he hungry or thirsty yet?  I have no experience with cats and do not understand their behavior and cannot imagine where he could be or why.  I am a wreck and so are my kids.  I live in a very small, yet friendly upscale neighborhood and I don't believe any harm would have been done to him.  Any advice on finding him?  Thank you, Mel

Answer
Hi Mel,

I'm not an expert on this subject but there was one at this site. Go to the search bar for here and type in DebbieC. Read her answers about lost cats. They are great and on the money. Follow her tips and you should have your boy back soon. Most missing cats are within a one mile radius range of home. Use her advice. Good luck and let me know when you find him.
