Do male cats go in heat? What do they do if they are, and what kind of noises do they make?

I think that they don't exactly go into heat as a female, but may become more territorial (the lovely marking of stuff, scratching gouges near doors and windows); some may show dominant actions towards other pets and even articles (one of my cats liked to 'hump' stuffed toys).

As for noises, yelling, screeching, all-out 'I'M DYING!' screams....typical nightmare stuff.

No, not exactly 'heat', but he definitely can let you know if there are any females nearby in heat.
