Question
My cat just had 5 kittens 3 weeks ago.  She has started having diarrhea last week.  I tried to change her food back to regular, but she is still having it.  What is wrong, what can I do to help her?

Amber

Answer
Hi, If you have not done anything different with you cat then my first thought would be that she has an infection. This could be quite serious in a nursing mom so you would want to get her checked. She could have a uterine infection or an infection in her mammary glands.
Now, if you had changed her food in the last week and now changed it back then that could cause diarrhea also. If you want to get back to me with more details I could probably give you a more specific answer. thanks, Teresa
