Cats/newborn kitten hair loss

Question
I have a litter of 3 kittens that are almost 2 weeks old.  One of them, a tabby, has just recently started losing her hair.  She still has it around her face and eyes, tail, tummy, legs, and very thin on her sides and back.  The top of her head, neck, and back are very very thin almost bald.  Her skin however, looks very smooth, pinkish.  She has no lesions or scaby areas at all.  She just looks really strange.  Should we be worried or just wait for new hair to grow in?

Thanks for the info.

Answer
Hi Joyce,

You need to take that little one to the vet. A kitten shouldn't be losing its fur. It could be a number of medical reasons that she is losing her hair. When you take her to the vet take the mom and others with you. The vet might want to take a look at them. And sometimes cats act funny to cats that have been to the vet. The mom might reject the kitten. This is just to play it safe. Good luck.
