Cats/very sick cat

Question
Hi. My cat is very sick. He has lost a lot of weight over the past three months. This past week, he started vomiting any wet or dry food he would eat. I can feel the spine in his back and head (very bony/skinny). He has excessive thirst and is losing his fur more than usual (excessive shedding). Please help.

Answer
PLease take your cat to a vet IMMEDIATELY! You should not wait 3 months. He may have a serious kidney or liver problem and the faster you get him to the vet the better chance of being able to treat his condition.

Drinking lots of water and losing weight could indicate a thyroid problem, kidney problem or diabetes. All of these can be managed with diet changes for a while IF caught early enough.

Please do not delay taking your cat to the vet - today!
