Cats/sneezing, mucusy kittens

Question
My boss just got two kittens; brother and sister from a local shelter.  Yesterday both kittens started sneezing and appearing to have mucus.  She says it seems like they have a cold.  What should she do.  She has meetings all day, and can probably not make it home in time to take them to the vet.

Answer
Hello Stephanie,
Definately sounds like kitties in need of a vet visit.  Kittens are more prone to life threatening diseases, and especially those who have been under stressful conditions or around multiple animals.  Check in the phone book to see if there are any mobile vets where you live.  Many times they come out on weekends and after hours.  Also, she may check with vets who have Saturday hours, altho they are usually limited hours.  It is important that these little guys see a vet soon, to treat whatever problem is going on.
Hope this has been helpful.  Thank you for your inquiry and your intrest in this site.
