Cats/swallowing in cat

Question
I have an eleven year old calico who often suffers from hair balls. Usually she vomits and then I give her petromalt and she is fine again. But the past two days she has been eating slowly and seems to be swallowing as though she is going to vomit but has not I tried giving her petromalt but she only ate a little bit.I'm worried she may have a sore throat or fur stuck in her throat . Is there a product to help her swallow? I should mention she swalows when she is not eating.

Answer
Hello C.J.,
If your cat is not responding with the Petromalt she is used to, then she may have an obstruction in her throat that may need the attention of a vet.  There are vets on this website, I believe, and would be better to answer a possible medical problem.  Or you can give a call to your vet and see if this is something that is of immediate concern.
Best of luck with this.  Hopefully she will work through it.
Thank you for your intrest in this site.
