Question
i think my cat is pregnant i am not sure cause i don't know how to tell for sure her stomach is getting bigger but i don't know if it is because she is pregnant or not
i also want to know how long cats stay pregnant and when i can tell she is going to give birth

Answer
Hi Autumn,

There are two questions to ask yourself to figure out if she is pregnant. Was she in heat and did she get outside? If it's yes to both then more than likely she is pregnant. I am attaching a link to a really informative article about pregnant cats. This should answer most of your questions.

If the answer is no to those two questions then I would get her to a vet. There is a condition that mimics pregnancy in cats that could kill her. It's called a pyrometia. She will need to be taken care of by the vet or she could die from this. Good luck and let me know what happens.
