Question
hey Becky,

u said:
but if he has only done it three times in a long time period, then it is nothing to worry about.  If he does it every time you feed him, and he loses weight, then that could be a very bad problem and would need veterinary intervention.
---

he is living at my home before 2 months or a little more
what i meant is he had 3 "sessions" of throwing his food
every one included 2-3 times (they happens after each other)
and although he's eating SOO much lately but he didn't gain weight but lost some weight actully :(
so what do u think?

and thanks so much for ur answer :)

hello,

my 6-month kitten have something wrong with him
it happens 3 times since i get him..
i found him throwing-up the food after he eat it
and it seems that it is not digested yet
he do it about 3 times after i feed him.. then he gets fine..

i took him once to a vet and he gave hime something that stops the throwing up

but since it happens more than once i'm worried now about the reason that makes him do so..

could it be a reason of teething?
is there a special food i should give it for him..

* note:
- i use dry & canned food and sometimes i give my cats human meat, chiken, and tuna..
- i also give them milk about once a day (or every 2 days)
- my cats since they eat a little then get hungry so fast, i feed them very small meals about 5/times a day

thanks in advance
hope to find an answer

Hi Sara,

If you give them human foods, give it sparingly, especially the milk as it could cause diarrhea. The meats are ok, as long as you don't give a lot of that and not the cat food.   Other than that, I do not know why your kitten is vomiting other than maybe he ate too much?   I know that my own cats will over eat and then vomit sometimes.

You didn't say how long you have had your kitten, but if he has only done it three times in a long time period, then it is nothing to worry about.  If he does it every time you feed him, and he loses weight, then that could be a very bad problem and would need veterinary intervention.  Some cats will do that when they have swallowed a thread and it ties up their intestine, not allowing food to enter, therefore it is thrown up.  But it really sounds like your kitten is ok, if it only occurs ever now and then.

God Bless,
Becky

Answer
Sara,
I think if I were you , I would watch him closely to make sure that he isn't throwing up after every meal.  If he only does it ever now and then,  then I doubt you have to worry.  As I said,  my own cats will overeat and then throw up sometimes.  I always end up stepping in it , in the middle of the night.  LOL
If he continues to throw up, then feed him smaller amounts throughout the day, do not let him overeat.  If it still continues, take him to the vet.

God Bless,
Becky
