I'm dog sitting a 1 yr old Cavalier King Charles spaniel who is tearing things apart, including his own bed. This is his 1st time away from his family.  Please help!!!

Poor Diane,
He sounds as though he is suffering from separation anxiety. I am sure you are not still dogsitting, but in the future, crate him when you aren't home with a towel in his crate. He will be ok, dogs don't think the same as people. Give him lots of positives when he deserves them, and if possible, when dog sitting, stay in the dogs home rather than taking them to your place.
