I am seeking employment in the following fields; landscape design, architectural design or construction. I have extensive experience in the landscape and architectural drafting fields. I am considering moving to cayman to be with my soon to be wife. Any information that can be provided will be greatly appreciated.

This is to allow interested Caymanians to apply but also has the result of informing anyone of the open position. To this narrow extent personal networking is not necessarily as important in Cayman as it might be elsewhere.

Your desired areas of employment fit nicely with the ongoing construction and development boom in Cayman. You should submit your résumé to various construction and architecture firms. To the extent that you have specialized skills in drafting I would encourage you to focus on applying for related positions as those should pay better.

You may wish to check the local newspapers every Friday for the best selection of job adverts. Cayman Net News is fully available online but the Caymanian Compass does not post their ads. Unfortunately the Compass receives the majority of the job adverts.

Finally, you might try blanketing your résumé to various firms. You can find the Cayman yellow pages online at http://caymanislandsyp.com/ and search for related firms that way. Note that the postal service only delivers mail to P.O. boxes so any street address would be insufficient for postal delivery. Of course Fed Ex only delivers to street addresses.
