Cayman Islands/working two different jobs

Question
If I have a work permit for a certain field and I want to work part-time at night in a different field like at a restaurant do I need another work permit for that job as well?
Thank You for your services,
Cathy

Answer
In order to work a second job your work permit must be amended. Both your current employer and prospective second employer must agree and the required fees must be paid to the Immigration Department.

There is a narrow exception to this rule. If your second job is working remotely for a company which does not have a physical presence in Cayman and which does not conduct business in Cayman then no work permit is required. For example you could work from home doing medical transcription work for doctors who practice in the United States and no work permit would be required.
