Cayman Islands/Autism

Question
Hi

I am due to visit Grand Cayman in August and am interested in looking at any provision for young people with autism.  I work for a independent specialist provision here in the UK and am keen to explore how others around the world are teaching such a special group of students.  Do you know of any schools that cater for those with Autism or Asperger Syndrome on the island?

Many thanks

I'm not sure about the particular conditions you mention, but the Lighthouse School is the main school dealing with special needs.  They have an old website at http://www.lhs.edu.ky/ but it does have the schools address, phone number and e-mail address.

If you do a google search, there are a number of reports about the school's work including http://buildingexcellencetogether.blogspot.com/2008/02/lighthouse-school-makes-h...

Hope this helps!
