Question

Dory
Do they sell motor homes over on the islands and what are the cheapest type of living quarters (a room perhaps) that are available. A hut by the beach would do to purchuse. I like to spend the rest of my life living on caymen islands. Thank you for any help that you can give.

Answer
Keith
No, I think there are rules that prohibit the importing of some vehicles, including motorhomes.  Having said that, after Hurricane Ivan, the Government did bring in some mobile homes as emergency housing.  The plan was that they would then export them, or keep them in storage until the next hurricane.
You may like to live in Cayman, but unfortunately, unless you are very rich and can get residency as a rich investor, you really need to fine a job and then wait for your employer to apply for a work permit.  See some of the info in my FAQ at http://www.gotocayman.com

The website also has links to some real estate agents, so you may be able to find your beach property, but it is likely to be much more substantial than a shed (with price to match)!

Good luck!
