Cayman Islands/housing

Question
I am attending SMU - Grand Cayman beginning Sept 2009. Any idea where I could find clean reasonable housing close to the school?

Answer
Tom - housing on the island has a huge range, and just like the states, it's all about location, really.  West Bay usually has lower prices than say G-town or SMB area. Harbor View Apts. in G-town is an option but you're still looking at somewhere north of $3k/month for a studio, as is Treasure Island (even more $$ than Harbor View) in the SMB/G-town area.  Have you contacted the school to see what they offer for housing or at least give you a list of places that other students have chosen?  If you end up with roommates, you often can get a pretty nice place in a good area while keeping the costs down/person.  You're gonna love living there, but I'm guessing it'll be hard to stay focused on studies in the middle of the Caribbean!  Best to you,

John
