Answer
Janette

Before a job can be advertised to an expat, the firm has to prove that there is no Caymanian that they could appoint to the post. Therefore, if you are looking at an entry job, then you would be in direct competition to Caymanian graduates, and under the employment law they would get the post.

There are two educations systems in Cayman - the public (mainly for Caymanians and follows the UK academic system), and the private (Can follow either the UK or the US system).

The public posts will be advertised through the Government website - check out http://www.recruitment.gov.ky/portal/page?_pageid=1142,1941597&_dad=portal&_sche...

For jobs in the private schools - these are usually advertised in the local newspapers - the Caymanian Compass and Cayman Net News.  The latter is fully available free online at http://www.caymannetnews.com so you should be able to look out there - especially the Friday edition which has most job adverts.

I guess that it may be worth contacting some schools or colleges directly - check out some of the links (including the FAQ so you understand the permit process) at http://www.gotocayman.com
