Question
Hi,

My husband is looking at a job in the Grand Caymans.  We are wondering about the School Systems there.  Do you know if we would be able to put out kids in the public school there.  I am under the impression that if you make more that $3000 a month then you have to put your kids in Private school.  Also we are wondering about housing.  We would like to buy or rent.  We need 3 bedrooms.  Do they have football in the Private or public schools, or do they have any American football leagues for teens to play on?

Kellie
The public schools are generally only for Caymanians, and maybe for government employees, everyone else has to use private schools.  Note that your husband will have to declare you and your children as dependencies on the work permit application that his employer will submit.

Check the links on my businesses pages to real estate brokers for properties to buy/rent.

There are a number of junior soccer (http://www.caymanfootball.ky/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cayman_Islands_League) and baseball leagues (sorry, couldn't find any links) - not sure about American football.  Could always take up Rugby or Cricket!

Good luck!
