Before an expat can be offered a job, the employer has to show that there aren't any Caymanians that can fill the post.  This is usually complied with by advertising in one of the local daily newspapers (Cayman Compass, Cayman Net News).  Both papers haved website, but with Cayman Net News you can read the complete paper (including adverts) online - see http://www.caymannetnews.com  Friday issues tends to be the one with most adverts.

If you get to the stage of being interviewed and an offer, then the firm has to apply for a work permit.  You will have to supply details for this including police record, health reports, any dependents etc.  You have to be off-island whilst this is taking place, in case the applicaiton is rejected.  Permits are usually only valid for a year and can be renewed up to a maximum of seven years.

You don't say what your profesison/qualifications are, so I can't give specific guidance.  Note however that Cayman is suffering from the recession.  Some financial firms have pulled out from Cayman, so finding jobs in Cayman is getting much harder.

Good luck!
