You need to understand the rules on working/visiting Cayman.
Depending on your nationality (some need visas), you can visit Cayman as a visitor, initially for up to three months.  You are expected to be able to support yourself, without needing to work.  It is illegal to visit Cayman with the expectation of finding work whilst you are visiting. If your partner is on a work permit, then only spouses or family can be added as dependents.
The next hurdle is that before you can work, the employer has to apply for a work permit.  Even for temporary work permits, it is expected that the employee be off-island whilst the application is being considered (one exception being if the person is a dependent on another work permit).
As I understand it, even if you want to volunteer, you have to be on a work permit.
Food workers earn about CI$5 per hour.
