Cayman Islands/Grocery stores

Question
I am a grocery store manager and I am interested in sending my resume to the Cayman's. I found Hurley's, Cost U Less and Foster's online. While working in Bermuda several years ago I had enquired at Cook's and Holly's and still have their phone numbers. Unless I can't read my own writing and Holly's is actually Hurley's! Are these two grocery stores in the Cayman's? Thank you.

Answer
Doug
I don't recognise Cook's or Holly's as names of grocery stores.
Foster's is by far the biggest chain with five branches.  Hurley's only has one outlet (the other was demolished when Hurricane Ivan blew through and hasn't been rebuild), and the other big one is Kirk's.  CostULess and PriceRight are warehouse stores that do sell some groceries.

Check out the Cayman Islands Yellow Pages at http://s2.caymanislandsyp.com/Cayman-Islands/Sports-Promoters/1/book - the entry for supermarkets starts at the very bottom of the page.
Apart from searching by name, you can search the yellow pages, and white pages by phone number - just make sure that you format it correctly.

Don't forget to check out the classified adverts in Cayman Net News - especially the Friday edition.  Before an expat can be appointed the employer has to prove that their isn't a Caymanian that can carry out the duties.  The way that they do this is to advertise positions in the local press.

Good luck
