Question
I am a Designer based in the US. I would like to work with a local design firm on a project in Grand Cayman. Do I need a temporary work permit? Most of my consulting work would be done remotely, with monthly trips to the island over the course of 6 months.

Answer
Hi Maureen,

Sorry for the delay in responding.

Re: "Do I need a temporary work permit?" Although I am not in Immigration, my understanding is that if you will be conducting business while you are in the Cayman Islands, you will need a work permit. (I believe everyone applies for a temporary work permit)

The link below may give you more details regarding work permits.

Thanks!
