Question
I am very scared of snakes and spiders, planning to visit friends in Cayman Islands towards the end of this year. Can you please let me know of any nasties(venomous or not) that I may come across. BE HONEST

Answer
Pauline
In all my visits to Cayman, I have never seen a snake.  Apparently there are some on the island, but they are all non-venemous (see http://www.caymanwildlife.org/wild-racercaymanus.html).

Apparently there are Black Widow spiders in the Cayman Islands, but they are rare on Grand Cayman (see http://www.worldeducationalfilms.com/biogs/geraldthompson/cayman.htm).  Again, I have never seen any.

I think in reality you are likely to finhd the mosquitoes your biggest problem!

Good luck with your trip.
