Question
QUESTION: I am a PERMANENT RESIDENT OF CANADA and I have passport of P.R.CHINA,do i need visa to visit grand cayman as a tourist of cruise "Carnival" from Miami FL,USA for one day. I have Canadian Permanent Resident Card.
Thanks!
Marvin

Answer
Hi Marvin,

All those entering the Cayman Islands should ensure that the passport is valid for six months after date of return.

Only Chinese nationals that have a Hong Kong (SAR China) passport can enter the Cayman Islands without a visa.

As you will be using your passport to enter the country your Permanent Residency Card will not help so you will need to get a visa.

To obtain a visa if you are in China you should contact

British Embassy Beijing
11 Guang Hua Lu
Jian Guo Men Wai
Beijing 100600
Telephone
(+86) (10) 5192 4000
http://ukinchina.fco.gov.uk/en/

If you are in Canada then contact info-canada@caymanislands.ky or call 1-800-263-5805. They will point you in the right direction.

If there is a particular activity that you would like to do while ashore I recommend that you book it as early as possible. Grand Cayman is a small island with limited excursions and I have seen four cruise ships arrive on the same day.

Kind Regards
