Question
Are there any hotels/motels that were on Grand Cayman 23 years ago, in 1981?
(We were there on our honeymoon and are thinking of going for our 25th anniversary, but all the lodging listed seems to be newer.)

I don't think any of the big hotels are the same as those back then - the oldest of the big hotels in probably Treasure Island Resort.  The old Holiday Inn was pulled down a number of years ago and is currently the construction site of a new Ritz-Carlton resort that is due to open later this year.  The Royal Palms burnt down, but is now the site of the very popular Reef Grill restaurant and bar.

I can only think that maybe some of the smaller hotels may still be there from before. like Seaview or Sunset House, both south of George Town - there are links to these (and many other accommodation options) on my Accommodation page at http://www.gotocayman.com
