Question
Is there camping on Grand Cayman island? A previous reply mentioned the Eastern District. I am looking for an inexpensive way to stay while visiting Grand Cayman.
There are no commercial camping sites in the Cayman Islands, and camping by tourists is strongly discouraged.
Camping is a popular activity for residents for Easter week. It is a very occasional activity other times of the year.
The Cayman Islands are known as an expensive destination. Still, certain strategies can greatly lower the costs of a visit. The cheapest visitor accommodations are by being able to travel on short notice and then renting a timeshare unit directly from an owner. Look for auctions for Cayman Islands timeshare units on Ebay.
