Cayman Islands/General

Question
Hi Robert,

First off, I want to say how kind it is of you to spend your personal time helping Grand Cayman neophytes like me out!  Thanks!

A couple of questions:

(We are staying at the "other end of the island" at Morritts Tortuga)

Are mopeds available?

Pedal bikes?

We wondered if it is best for us to bring our own liquor (vodka and rum) to the island or are the prices comparable?

Is there gambling on the island?

OK, now that we sound like we have every vice available, I thank you in advance for your help

Mopeds and bikes are certainly for hire on the island, but not sure if there are any rental location in the East End area - may be worth checking out the web sites for Morritt's and the neighbouring resorts to see if there is any mention in their amenities. See links below

Everything is expensive on the island, so I would suggest you stock up with your duty-free allowance. If you exceed that, you will have to pay duty on it. (see my FAQ for duty-free allowancs - http://www.gotocayman.com)

Gambling is illegal on the islands, as is nude-topless bathing!

Robert
