Question
Dear Robert,  My husband and I have accepted a job in the Caymans and we are hoping to arrive on 1 November.  We are looking for a 1 bedroom place either in South Sound, George Town or 7 mile beach which will be near to work.  Could you recommend any agencies or ways of obtaining a reasonably priced place with either a 1 or 3 month lease agreements?  I would really appreciate any help you can give me as I have only found 2 places which are available on the internet.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Kind regards

Kate and Alex

Short-term rentals like that are quite unusual - unless you are prepared to consider a villa that is usually a holiday let.

You could check some of the resources on my website at http://www.gotocayman.com to both villa rentals and realtor brokers who specialise in rentals.  As Seven Mile Beach is the main tourist area, I'm sure that you would be able to find a holiday condo.

The other option would be to check the clasified adverts in the local papers (Cayman NetNews, Cayman Compass), especially the Friday editions, for ads renting properties. It would be best to get a physical copy of the Compass, but you can read Cayman NetNews online (including the adverts) at http://www.caymannetnews.com and click on Today's Newspaper.

Hope this helps!
Good luck!
