Question
Hello. My name is Jannie and I just recently returned to Denmark again after visiting my sister in Grand Cayman since february 15th. I got a job down there but my boss apparently didn't do the right thing, which was to extend my and another girl's)visit down there untill our work permits went through.
After over a month had passed we were told that we didn't get hired anyway and that he hadn't extended our visit so we both had to leave the island.
So as I left the island I was told at immigration that if i ever wanted to return to the island again I have to write to immigration in advance to ask for permission to come back to the island. and my questions to you now are: who shall i contact? who do i write to? how do i go about with it? and what do i write?
because i really wnat to come back to the beautiful island and work down there with my sister.
i really hope that you can help me
thank you so much

Answer

You really need to take this up with the Immigration Department:
Immigration Department
Cayman Islands Government
PO Box 1098GT
Elgin Avenue
Grand Cayman,Cayman Islands

Telephone: (345) 949-8344
Fax: (345) 949-8486

The chief Immigration Officer is Franz Manderson - his e-mail address is Franz.Manderson@gov.ky

I suggest that you give full details - they are likely to want to check out the details with your employer.

Good luck!
